New arrival! Shield Clutch in blue & white striped ticking, now available at dntx.etsy.com (Taken with instagram)
This was a little experiment which was the result of another little experiment. Which was the result of yet another little experiment!
Sometimes, the process can be just as interesting, if not more so, than the end product, and this highly limited edition coin purse (yeah, there’s only one) may be the perfect example of this roundabout logic. It was never really about making an embossed coin purse, since there are many easier ways to go about doing that, but more about playing around with materials and finding fresh new ways to use old tools.
DNTX + Tula PINK

She makes fabric, I make bags, you’d think we would have figured this one out sooner.
I met Tula Pink, fabric designer extraordinaire, outside a dive bar in Texas one fateful night, tripping on the sidewalk while walking in front of her, and subsequently flying right into her arms. It was like a meet cute in the movies, only neither of us really looks like Meg Ryan, and we still haven’t kissed.
Tula now lives in Missouri but we spend countless hours over the phone discussing life, business, and most of all, design. She’s my hero and here’s the first of hopefully many collaborations to come.
New shots from the rooftop at sunset last night, look to the left of the top photo and you can get a good glimpse of the new One World Trade Center being built.
